Removing Side Section Rear (Saloon)

Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.

The insulating mat will be ruined during removal and must be replaced.

Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.
Information
Mark cuts in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.
- Mark cuts.
- 1.1 Mark cut on the C-pillar at -Dimension X-
> Distance 40 mm

- 1.2 Mark cut on the D-pillar in the window aperture area at -Dimension Y-
> Distance 50 mm

- 1.3 Mark cut on the D-pillar in the water drain channel area at -Dimension Z-
> Distance 40 mm

- 1.4 Mark cut on the lower side panel at -Dimension W- > Distance 150 mm .

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.
- 1.1 Mark cut on the C-pillar at -Dimension X-
> Distance 40 mm

- Make cuts.
- Drill through clinch points -A-
. > Diameter 6.6 mm

- Bending up edge of wheel arch.
- 6.1 Heat connection areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower .
- 6.2 Bend up wheel arch edge using > VAS 6635 - crimping pliers set, 4-piece .

- Bend up roll fold in the entry area.
- 7.1 Heat connection areas using a > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower .
- 7.2 Bend up roll fold using > VAS 6635 - crimping pliers set, 4-piece-1-Arrow- .

- Heat connection areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower .
- Remove rear side panel (Saloon).
