Removing Centre Side Member

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark separation points A, B, C  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cut -B-  .

2. Mark cuts -C and D-  and make cuts -C and D-  .

   W	> Distance 40 mm

3. Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

4. Bend up edges in -marked area-  in front door aperture.
   1. 4.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 4.2 Bend up edges in -marked area-  in the front door aperture using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .

5. Bend up edges -in the marked area-  in rear door aperture.
   1. 5.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 5.2 Bend up edges -in the marked area-  in the rear door aperture using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .

6. Bend up edges -in the marked area-  at the rear wheel housing.
   1. 6.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 6.2 Bend up edges -in the marked area-  on rear wheel housing using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .
