Removing Seat Cross Member

  1. Disconnect connection points.
    1. 1.1 Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - Body Dent Removal System, Aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - Compact Booster  .

      > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

      Removing punch rivets

    2. 1.2 Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

      Unscrewing screws

    3. 1.3 Drill out spotwelds.

    Drilling out spotwelds at the front

    Drilling out spotwelds at the rear

  2. Cut welded seams on the seat cross member.

    Cutting welded seams at the right

  3. Heat up bonding areas.

  4. Remove seat cross member.
