Installing A-pillar
Information
- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.
- Tack on sheetmetal insert used as welding backing strip on the body.

- Install A-pillar and check that it fits perfectly.
Information
- Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface.
- Apply adhesive on joint areas of the body. > Application depth 3 mm

- Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface.
- Apply adhesive on A-pillar. > Application depth 0.5 mm

- Apply an aluminium weld to the A-pillar -B and C-

- Apply a full weld to the insert at the front side using inert gas.
