Installing Cylinder Head Cover - Left Cylinder Bank

Replace seal.
Oil the running surfaces of the camshafts.
Check that hydraulic tappets and valve levers are fitted correctly.
Information
- The liquid sealant Loctite 5970-BM must be used.
- The bead of sealant you apply must not be thicker than the prescribed thickness. Excess sealant can block the lubrication system.
- Sealant must not get into the threaded bores
- The cylinder head cover must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant
Carefully apply continuous beads of sealant -1- with a thickness of 3 mm all the way around on the sealing faces of the cylinder head cover.

Install cylinder head cover -20- .

1. 5.1 Insert > T40116 - locating pins through the bores in the cylinder head cover -20- and screw them into the cylinder head.
2. 5.2 Position cylinder head cover -20- on > T40116 - locating pins on the cylinder head.
3. 5.3 Screw in and tighten new screws on cylinder head cover -1 to 19- .
  - Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
  - Torque angle + 90°
Connect and lock cable plugs for camshaft sensors -1- .

Secure differential pressure sensor holder -1- .

Differential pressure sensor holder
1. 7.1 Fit differential pressure sensor holder -1- .
2. 7.2 Screw in and tighten screws on differential pressure sensor holder -2- .
  - Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
