Preliminary Work

  1. Remove upper chain housing cover.
    • 153319 Removing and installing upper chain housing cover (V6 turbo) 
  2. Remove pulse sender.
    • 287319 Removing and installing pulse sender (V6 turbo) 
  3. Remove drive plate.
    • 136319 Removing and installing drive plate 


  1. Remove the engine.
    • 100119 Removing and installing engine 
  2. For engine with particle filter 

    Remove particle filter.

    • 267419 Removing and installing particle filter 
  3. For engine without particle filter 

    Remove catalytic converter.

    • 267319 Removing and installing catalytic converter 
  4. Only for removing upper chain housing cover on right cylinder bank: 

    Remove additional coolant pump holder -1-  .

    1. 4.1  Unscrew screws for additional coolant pump -2-  at the holder -1-  .
    2. 4.2  Unscrew double screw for additional coolant pump holder -3-  .
    3. 4.3  Remove additional coolant pump holder -1-  .
