Removing Trailer Hitch Control Unit

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  1. → Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

1. Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
2. Disengage retaining clips -a-  and remove trailer hitch control unit -1-  from the holder -2-  .

   Information 

   Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

   • Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
   • Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation. 
   • Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 
3. Disconnect electric plug connections.

   1. 3.1  Press release tabs -a-  and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  from the trailer hitch control unit -2-  .
   2. 3.2  Press release tab -b-  , swivel clip -3-  aside and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  .
