Removing Outer Side Member

Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

Installation position of outer side member

Drill out spotwelds using > Nr.129 - spotweld drill: see Gr. 2.4: Workshop Equipment Service Information.

Information

Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.

Removing outer side member

Heat the marked bonding surfaces.

3.1 Lift up side member -1- in the lower area slightly -arrows A- .

3.2 Press side member -1- down in the upper area -arrows a- and remove it.
