Removing Rear Cross Member

Installation position of rear cross member

  1. Drill through spotwelds using a > Nr.129 - spotweld drill: see Gr. 2.4: Workshop Equipment Service Information.

    Removing rear cross member

  2. Drill through spotwelds using a > Nr.129 - spotweld drill: see Gr. 2.4: Workshop Equipment Service Information.

  3. Heat the marked bonding areas.
    1. 3.1  Remove upper part of rear cross member.

  4. Remove lower part of rear cross member.

    Information 

    Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath

  5. Heat the marked bonding surfaces.
    1. 5.1  Remove lower part of rear cross member.
