Checking Function Of Heated Rear Window

Information 

• Check the function of the heated rear window using a temperature probe with digital display. > Nr.164 Pos.1 - Temperature probe 

Information 

• The heating wire on the rear window must run exactly under the tip of the sensor for this measurement procedure. 
• After switching on the temperature probe, the temperature of the heating wire must increase by approx. 2°C within 2 minutes at room temperature. 
• If the temperature probe does not show an increase in temperature, diagnose faults according to the wiring diagram. 

1. Switch on rear window heating.
2. Measure the temperature on the centre of the rear window from outside using the tip of the sensor.
