Unscrew screws at the bottom -1- .

Unscrew screw at the sides -1- .

Side screw
Unscrew screws at the top -1- and remove glove compartment light -2- .

Top screws
Lower the glove compartment until the wiring harness is accessible.
Loosen wiring harness -1- from clips -2- .

Clips
WARNING:
Improper handling of airbag units
- Triggering of airbag unit.
- System faults can occur.
  → Remove ignition key or remote control (hand-held transmitter) and keep it outside of the transmission range.
  
  → External power supply must be de-energized.
  
  → Disconnect the battery and isolate the ground strap so that all contact with a ground carrier is avoided.
  
  → Wait 1 minute after disconnecting the battery.
  
  → Only pull off connector on the triggering unit after the waiting time has elapsed.
  
  → Keep space in front of the airbag unit free.
  
  → Replace damaged parts.
  
  → Always set airbag units down with the blow-out opening facing upwards.
  
  → Do not place any objects on the airbag units.
  
  → Store airbag units in a safe place.
  
  → Avoid contact with grease, oil, detergents, liquids or similar substances.
  
  → Store airbag units in a cool place. Maximum temperature: 90 °C.
NOTE:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit
  → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
  
  → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.
Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- and loosen wiring harness -2- from clip -3- .
