Remove Condenser
- Danger of freezing
→ Avoid contact with refrigerant.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and handling refrigerant.
→ Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.
→ Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.
Information
Working on the refrigerant circuit:
When removing components, close off all openings immediately using commercially available stoppers.
Store air-conditioning system components in a dry and closed-off area.
When fitting components, do not remove the stoppers until shortly before installation.
Likewise, do not remove the protective foil from the desiccator until just before installation. The desiccator absorbs moisture from the air and is then useless.
Do not carry out repairs in the open during damp weather.
The desiccator should be replaced as soon as one component of the air conditioning system has been replaced or if the air conditioning system was open for > 20 minutes.
Moisture in the refrigerant circuit not only leads to poor cooling, but oversaturation can also cause the desiccator to disintegrate and contaminate the air-conditioning system from inside. This can result in expensive and complicated repairs.
Check sealing rings on the refrigerant lines for damage and replace them if necessary.
Before re-installing these air-conditioning system components, flush them out with nitrogen.
Use a pressure reducer when working with nitrogen.
Evacuate the refrigerant circuit according to instructions.

NOTE: Opened refrigerant system for repairs.- Risk of moisture getting into the refrigerant system.
- Risk of contaminating the refrigerant circuit.
- Risk of saturation and irreparable damage to desiccator.
- Irreparable damage to the desiccator can damage the compressor and evaporator.
→ After opening the refrigerant circuit, close off the refrigerant lines/connections immediately using the relevant stoppers. To avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit, the stoppers for the different refrigerants must be stored and used separately.
→ The desiccator must be replaced if the air humidity is high and if the refrigerant circuit is left open for a long time.
