Install Condenser
Information
Before re-installing the component, replace the O-rings on the refrigerant lines.
Wet the O-rings of the refrigerant lines with refrigerant oil.
Close off all lines and connections using suitable stoppers during removal.
Do not open the stoppers for the lines and connections until shortly before installation.
Information
The condenser with dryer must be replaced in the following situations:
- Refrigerant circuit is open for > 20 minutes.
- Amount of refrigerant extracted is < 30% of the required quantity.
- Refrigerant circuit has been open for an indefinite period of time (gradual leak, stone damage to condenser).
- Air-conditioning compressor has become blocked.
- After opening the packaging and line connections on the condenser, the condenser must be installed within 20 minutes at the latest and the refrigerant circuit must be closed, evacuated and filled.
The condenser with dryer must not be replaced in the following situations:
- If the components are closed off using stoppers immediately after opening the refrigerant circuit or the refrigerant circuit is closed and evacuated within 20 minutes at the latest.
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
Seals on the refrigerant lines must be replaced.
Tighten screws -4- to the specified tightening torque. > Tightening torque 4 Nm (3 ftlb.)
Frame on condenser
Tighten screw -3- to the prescribed tightening torque. > Tightening torque 4.5 Nm (3.25 ftlb.)
Condenser frame on fan housing
Tighten screws -2- to the specified tightening torque. > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
Condenser fan housing on body
Tighten screws -3- to the specified tightening torque. > Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (1.75 ftlb.)
Air guide for condenser
Tighten screws -3- to the specified tightening torque. > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
