Preliminary Work

  1. Observe warning notes for working on the high-voltage vehicle electrical system.

    > General warning notes for working on the high-voltage vehicle electrical system 

  2. Isolate the high-voltage system from the power supply.

    > WM, 2X00IN ISOLATION FROM POWER SUPPLY PRIOR TO PERFORMING MAINTENANCE TASKS ON BEV VEHICLES

  3. Drain refrigerant.

    > 870317 DRAINING AND FILLING REFRIGERANT R1234YF 

    > 870317 DRAINING AND FILLING REFRIGERANT R134A 

  4. Drain coolant.

    > 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT

  5. Remove carrier plate for high-voltage distributor.

    > 279819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CARRIER PLATE FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTOR

  6. Remove refrigerant line between compressor and evaporator (section from shut-off valve 5 to internal heat exchanger).

    > 874519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REFRIGERANT LINE BETWEEN COMPRESSOR AND EVAPORATOR (SECTION FROM SHUT-OFF VALVE 5 TO INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGER)
