Installing Refrigerant Line Between Compressor And Condenser (Section From Air-Conditioning Compressor To Heat EXCHANGER (ICOND))
NOTE:
Opened refrigerant system for repairs.
- Risk of moisture getting into the refrigerant system.
- Risk of contaminating the refrigerant circuit.
- Risk of saturation and irreparable damage to desiccator.
- Irreparable damage to the desiccator can damage the compressor and evaporator.
→ After opening the refrigerant circuit, close off the refrigerant lines/connections immediately using the relevant stoppers. To avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit, the stoppers for the different refrigerants must be stored and used separately.
→ The desiccator must be replaced if the air humidity is high and if the refrigerant circuit is left open for a long time.
- Install refrigerant line -1-
.
- 1.1 Replace O-rings on refrigerant line -1- .
- 1.2 Push refrigerant line -1- onto air-conditioning compressor -2- and heat exchanger (ICond) -3- .
- 1.3 Fit and tighten screw -7-
.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.4 Fit and tighten screw -6-
.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.5 Connect and lock electric plug connection -5- .
- 1.6 Clip in clip -4- .
Refrigerant line section from air-conditioning compressor to heat exchanger (ICond)
- Secure coolant hoses -1-
to heat exchanger (ICond) -2-

- 2.1 Connect coolant hoses -1- .
- 2.2 Fasten spring band clamps -3- using > VAS 6891 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers .
