Compressor Run-In After Installing A New Air-Conditioning Compressor

Information 

• The prerequisites for compressor run-in can be found in PIWIS Tester directly under the Teach compressor function in the air-conditioning control unit. 
• Specifications in PIWIS Tester have priority and take precedence over the specifications in the description. 

Information 

• Air-conditioning compressor run-in with the PIWIS Tester includes: 
• Starting the air-conditioning compressor 
• Swap test for pressure sensors 
• Function test for interior cooling 
• Function test for high-voltage battery cooling 

1. Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and switch it on.
2. Establish operational readiness/switch on ignition.
3. Start diagnostics.
4. Select Thermal management  control unit.
5. Select the Maintenance/repairs  tab.
6. Select the menu item Teach electric air-conditioning compressor  and press F12 to continue.
7. Follow the instructions on the Tester.
