Emergency Release For Electric Parking Brake (EPB)

Information 

The emergency release must only be used if the brake can no longer be released electrically (actuator faulty).

1. Unscrew oval-head screw -1-  on the back of the spreader device (actuator) -2-  .

2. Remove seal -1-  .

3. Screw in oval-head screw -1-  without seal as far as it will go in order to pierce the cover and then unscrew oval-head screw -1-  again.

4. Turn emergency release screw -1-  approx. 300 turns anti-clockwise until there is a noticeable increase in torque (brake shoes are loosened fully).
