Securing Electric Motor With Automatic Transmission (Rear-Axle Module) On Engine Support

Retainer plate and engine support

1. 1.1  Release locking mechanism -3-  and turn tension screw -4-  anti-clockwise until the guide is open by about 115 mm -x-  .
2. 1.2  Pull out retaining pin -5-  and block it by turning it in pulled position.

   Information 

   The round slings > VAS 501 015 - round slings  , > 3033 - lifting tackle  , > VAS 6095A - engine and gearbox support  and workshop crane are not shown in the illustration below.

Engine support to electric motor

1. 2.1  Carefully position the rear-axle module on the > VAS 6095A/1-23 - engine support-1-  using a workshop crane with the help of another person -Arrows-  . For this purpose, make sure that retaining pin -2-  is aligned with bore -3-  .
2. 2.2  Turn tension screw -6-  clockwise and tighten the clamping jaws -8-  slightly.
3. 2.3  Release retaining pin -2-  and engage it in bore -3-  .
4. 2.4  Turn tension screw -6-  clockwise and tighten to > Tightening torque 17 Nm (13 ftlb.)  .
5. 2.5  Check that the rear-axle module is fitted securely on the > VAS 6095A/1-23 - engine support  .
