Observe the following specifications for all work described:
- country-specific, national, legal and official regulations,
- local restrictions and export restrictions,
- manufacturer's specifications from component and vehicle manufacturers,
- component-specific specifications.
These strict specifications apply in particular:
- Storage, installation and removal, transport and disposal of vehicles, assemblies, operating materials and auxiliary materials,
- handling of defective and potentially hazardous vehicles as well as assemblies,
- handling of battery electric vehicles and high-voltage components.
For this purpose, take into account relevant and qualified information sources such as local authorities, responsible importers, associations and specialist website. Deliver items to be disposed of only to authorized reception points.

Handling high-voltage lines:
- Do not support yourself or your tools on high-voltage lines and their components.
- Work involving metal-removing, deforming and sharp-edged tools close to high-voltage components and lines is prohibited.
- Work involving heat sources such as welding, soldering, hot air and thermal bonding close to high-voltage components and lines is prohibited.
- High-voltage lines must not be extensively bent or kinked.
- Perform a visual inspection of the high-voltage connectors before installing the high-voltage lines.
- If you have questions or if you are unclear about anything, consult the relevant high voltage expert or your importer.
- Detach and pull off high-voltage line from E-box to electric motor at the rear.

Check that the center of gravity is neutral.

- Carefully lift the E-box up and off using > VAS 6100 - workshop crane .
- Remove test clamps and test cable.
- Uncover electric connections for E-box on the high-voltage battery. > VAS 6762/47 - End caps

Install the E-box again quickly as the high-voltage contacts on the high-voltage battery are open following removal.
