Removing Vehicle Electrical System Battery
Information
Switch off all loads, end operational readiness on the vehicle and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 meters).
- Observe specifications for handling 12-volt lithium-ion batteries.

Open door window on driver side.
- Loosen battery negative terminal connection and disconnect ground line from the battery.

- Release and disconnect LIN connection.

- Unclip cover on emergency power connection and pull it up and out.

- Unscrew positive line for current distributor and set it aside.

- Loosen current distributor holder and move it to the rear.

- 6.1 Loosen nut on positive line at the battery -1- .
- 6.2 Unclip current distributor holder -2- .
- 6.3 Move current distributor with holder aside to the rear.
- Unscrew screw on upper battery retaining bracket.

- Unscrew screws on front battery retaining bracket and remove front battery retaining bracket.
Front retaining bracket
- Carefully remove the battery.
