Preliminary Work

  1. Move the vehicle onto the lifting platform.

    > WM, 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE

  2. Removing water box cover.

    > 85221901 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (FRONT) WATER BOX COVER - information on "Removing"

  3. Isolate the high-voltage system from the power supply.

    > Refer to the appropriate Service Information

    > 2X00IN ISOLATION FROM POWER SUPPLY PRIOR TO PERFORMING MAINTENANCE TASKS ON BEV VEHICLES

  4. Remove front left wheel.

    > 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL - information on "Removing"

  5. Remove front left wheel housing liner.

    > 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER - information on "Removing"

  6. Remove side cover -1-  on the left of the underbody between the wheel housing liner and front underbody cover.

    Side cover at front left of underbody

    1. 6.1  Unscrew screws -2-  and remove cover -1-  .
  7. Remove front underbody cover.

  8. Remove rear underbody cover.
