Installing Cooling-Air Flaps

Information 

The procedure for removing aid installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

1. Install cooling-air flaps.

   Tightening sequence for cooling-air flaps

   1. 1.1  Tighten screws according to the tightening sequence -1-6-  .

      Tightening torque: > Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (1.75 ftlb.) 

2. Further installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
3. Teach cooling-air flaps using > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3  .
   1. 3.1  Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle.
   2. 3.2  Switch on the ignition.
   3. 3.3  Select Thermal management control unit.
   4. 3.4  Select the Maintenance/repairs tab.
   5. 3.5  Select the "Teach cooling-air flaps" menu item and press F12 to continue.
   6. 3.6  Follow the instructions on the Tester.
