Installing Electric Fan

Information 

• New fan has prefabricated holes without thread.
• Before a new fan is installed, threads must be cut in the prefabricated holes.
• Self-tapping screws cut their own thread during installation.
• Always use new bolts.
• The use of thread cutters is not permitted.

1. Insert new screws -1-  and carefully screw them in and back out.

2. Install electric fan.
   1. 2.1  Place electric fan -1-  in installation position.

   2. 2.2  Fit and tighten screws -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

3. Fasten the radiator to the cooling fan housing.
   1. 3.1  Remove tie-wrap.
   2. 3.2  Insert radiator -2-  into the guides of the cooling fan housing. Fit screw -1-  using > VAS 6959 - Torx screwdriver insert T30  through opening -3-  and tighten.

      > Tightening torque 4.5 Nm (3 ftlb.)

4. Secure wire harness.

   1. 4.1  Plug in and lock cable plug -3-  .
   2. 4.2  Fasten clips -2-  .
