Removing Main Wire Harness Section At The Front Left

Information 

When cutting the wire harness, make sure there is enough length of cable left to join to the new lines

1. Cut main wire harness section for front lid at the left -1-  in areas -x-  .

   Separation points

2. Remove control unit for front-end electronics.

   > 944919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR FRONT-END ELECTRONICS

3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for thermal management control unit.

   > 192919 THERMAL MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT

4. Loosen fuse box in left footwell.

   > 978409 LOOSENING AND SECURING FUSE BOX IN FOOTWELL 

5. Unclip clip -1-  .

6. Unscrew nut -1-  at ground point on A -pillar -2-  and remove ground lines -3-  .

7. Disconnect electric wire harness for front door.

   Electric wire harness for door, front

   1. 7.1  Release locking lug -arrow A-  and unclip mounting housing -arrow B-  .
   2. 7.2  Guide electric wire harness for front door out of the A-pillar.
8. Release and disconnect electric plug connections for Bluetooth control unit.

   > 918919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BLUETOOTH CONTROL UNIT

9. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for over-the-air control unit.

   > 919819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OVER-THE-AIR CONTROL UNIT

10. Loosen sleeve -3-  .

    Sleeve

    1. 10.1  Unclip clips -1-  .
    2. 10.2  Unscrew nuts -2-  and remove sleeve -3-  from cross panel.
11. Remove the main wire harness in the left plenum panel area.

    > 970909 LOOSENING AND SECURING THE MAIN WIRE HARNESS IN THE AREA OF THE PLENUM PANEL 

12. Remove main wire harness in front left of luggage compartment.

    > 970909 DISCONNECTING AND FASTENING THE MAIN WIRE HARNESS IN THE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
