Remove Rear Shock Absorber

Information 

Recommendation for workshops replacing shock absorbers/spring dampers:

• Dampers can be replaced separately up to a mileage of 20, 000 mls (30, 000 km) or 3 years  .
• If the mileage is > 20, 000 miles (30, 000 km) or the components are more than 3 years old, we recommend replacing them in pairs  .

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

1. Remove rear shock absorber -1-  .
   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws -2-  .
   2. 1.2  Lower the rear shock absorber -1-  until the electric plug connection -3-  is accessible.
   3. 1.3  Release electric plug connection -3-  and disconnect it.
   4. 1.4  Remove rear shock absorber -1-  between rear upper trailing arm -4-  and lower trailing arm -5-  .
