Removing Connecting Link For Anti-Roll Bar

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly

Risk of crushing
Risk of damage to components
→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

CAUTION: Electrically moved components

Danger of limbs being trapped
→ Switch off electric power to drive motor.

→ Make sure it does not switch on again.

→ Check that there is no electric charge.

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

Once PDCC is ready for operation, chassis adjustments can be made. To avoid injury/crushing, only work near the anti-roll bar, lower trailing arms and bellows of the steering gear without establishing operational readiness and always allow for the run-on time of 60 seconds.

Remove connecting link for anti-roll bar -1- .

1.1 Support wheel bearing housing using lifting equipment (e.g. > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack ).
1.2 Unscrew nut -2- and counter at screw -3- at the same time.
Replace screw and nut.
1.3 Unscrew nut -4- and counter at the internal Torx of the upper threaded pin at the same time.
Replace nut.

1.4 Remove connecting link for anti-roll bar -1- .
