Removing Upper Control Arm

Information 

Once PDCC is ready for operation, chassis adjustments can be made. To avoid injury/crushing, only work near the anti-roll bar, lower trailing arms and bellows of the steering gear without establishing operational readiness and always allow for the run-on time of 60 seconds.

1. Loosen upper control arms -1-  from wheel bearing housing.

   1. 1.1  Unscrew nut -2-  and counter at screw -3-  at the same time.
   2. 1.2  Remove screw -3-  and loosen upper control arm from wheel bearing housing.
2. Disconnect wiring harness -2-  at the rear axle housing -Arrow-  .

   1. 2.1  Loosen clip on the rear axle housing -Arrow-  and press wiring harness aside slightly in order to pull off the screw on the inner control arm (Step 3).
3. Removing upper control arm -1-  .

   1. 3.1  Unscrew nut -2-  and counter at screw -3-  at the same time.
   2. 3.2  Remove screw -3-  and guide upper control arm -1-  out of the rear axle housing.
