Assembling Drive Shaft
WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
Information
The procedure for disassembling and assembling the drive shaft is described as an example for a joint. The procedure for disassembling and assembling the other joint is almost identical.
- Push bellows onto the drive shaft using new flat joiners.
- Fit new
circlip -2-
onto the drive shaft -1-
using suitable pliers.
Circlip on drive shaft
Information
- Do not use cleaning agents on the joints (as these have a thinning effect on grease!) .
- Joints must be replaced following removal .
- Protective ring (on transmission side) must be replaced following removal .
- Circlips must be replaced following removal .
- Carry out a close visual inspection of parts to be re-used .
- Fit new
joint -1-
on the drive shaft -2-
.

Tap joint -1-
as far as required onto the drive shaft -2-
using a rubber hammer until the circlip on the drive shaft -2-

Information
- The special grease must be pressed well into the ball tracks of the joint .
- Make sure that as little special grease as possible gets into the bellows .
- Make sure to position the bellows correctly when sliding them on .
