Replacing Hydraulic Mount

WARNING: Mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic press 
  • Risk of squashing 

    → Read specific safety information for the press.

    → Check that the press is working perfectly before use, particularly the safety components.

Information 

The following tools are required for replacing the hydraulic mount:

  1. Press out hydraulic mount.

    Pressing out hydraulic mount

    1  Nut
    2  Sleeve 9895-2 
    3  Pressure piece 9895-1 
    4  > VAS 6178 - Hydraulic cylinder 
    1. 1.1  Centre the sleeve 9895-2  and pressure piece 9895-1  on the hydraulic mount.
    2. 1.2  Press out hydraulic mount.
  2. Press in hydraulic mount.

    Pressing in hydraulic mount

    1  Nut
    2  Pressure piece T10205/16 
    3  Hydraulic mount
    4  Sleeve 9895-2 
    5  > VAS 6178 - Hydraulic cylinder 
    1. 2.1  Centre the sleeve 9895-2  and pressure piece T10205/16  on the hydraulic mount.
    2. 2.2  Align hydraulic mount.

      The arrow -1-  on the hydraulic mount must be facing the wheel side, at the same height as the seam -2-  .

    3. 2.3  Press in hydraulic mount as far as it will go.
