Installing Tie Rod

1. 1.1  Position tie rod -1-  .
2. 1.2  Insert new  eccentric screw -2-  .
3. 1.3  Fit eccentric washer -3-  and new  nut -4-  .
4. 1.4  Screw in new  screw -5-  .

   Tie rod

   WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly 

   • Risk of crushing 
   • Risk of damage to components 

     → Wear personal protective gear.

     → Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

   Information 

   Threaded joints must only be tightened in zero position to prevent warping in the bearings.

Zero position

1. 3.1  Align eccentric screw -2-  and eccentric washer -3-  with the marking.
2. 3.2  Tighten nut -4-  and counter at the eccentric screw -2-  at the same time.

   > Tightening torque 100 Nm (74 ftlb.) 

3. 3.3  Tighten screw -5-  .

   > Tightening torque 70 Nm (52 ftlb.) 

   > Torque angle + 90 °
