Removing Lower Trailing Arm

Information 

Once PDCC is ready for operation, chassis adjustments can be made. To avoid injury/crushing, only work near the anti-roll bar, lower trailing arms and bellows of the steering gear without establishing operational readiness and always allow for the run-on time of 60 seconds.

1. Loosen lower trailing arm -1-  from wheel bearing housing -2-  .
   1. 1.1  Loosen nut on joint pin -3-  and unscrew it as far as required so that it is flush with the joint pin -4-  .
   2. 1.2  Position > T10187 - ball joint puller  . Then, press axle joint of the lower trailing arm -1-  off the wheel bearing housing -2-  .
   3. 1.3  Remove > T10187 - ball joint puller  .
   4. 1.4  Unscrew nut on joint pin -3-  completely and counter at the joint pin -4-  at the same time.

2. Remove lower trailing arm -1-  .

   Lower trailing arm

   1. 2.1  Unscrew nuts -2 to 4-  and counter at the screws -5 to 7-  at the same time.
   2. 2.2  Remove screws -5 to 7-  .

      For screw 5: Turn steering to full lock and protect the joint boot! 

   3. 2.3  Guide out lower trailing arm.
