Installing Brake Booster
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
→ Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles
→ In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
→ In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off
Information
The brake booster must not be handled in the input rod/bellows area.
- Install brake booster -1-
with new seal.
- 1.1 Carefully insert brake booster push rod in direction of -arrow- .
- 1.2 Position brake booster -1- .

Information
Always replace brake boosters on which the push rod has pushed past the brake pedal clip and the screws have been tightened to their final tightening torque.
- Screw on and tighten nuts -1-
on brake booster -2-
.
> Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)

- Connect brake pedal -1-
to brake booster ball joint mounting -2-
.
- 3.1 Position brake booster ball joint mounting -2- on retaining lugs on the ball joint mounting -3- .
- 3.2 Press the brake pedal -1- towards the brake booster with your hand -arrow A- until the brake booster ball joint mounting -2- engages securely in the retaining lugs on the ball joint mounting -3- .

Information
The stoppers must not be removed until immediately before guiding on the brake pressure lines.

Make sure not to get the brake lines mixed up.
- Connect brake lines -1-
to brake master cylinder -2-
.
- 5.1 Position brake lines -1- on the brake master cylinder -2- .
- 5.2
Screw in and tighten union nuts on brake lines -3-
.
> Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 ftlb.)
