Removing Front Brake CALLIPER
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
→ Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles
→ In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
→ In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off
Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

To gain better access for removal of the brake calliper, turn the steering fully either to the right or left.
- Disconnect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-
.
- 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1- .
- 1.2 Unclip electric line for brake pad wear indicator -1- from holder -2- and set it aside.

- Disconnect front brake line -1-
.
- 2.1 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 2.2 Unclip spring clamp -3- and disengage front brake line -1- from holder -4- .
- 2.3 Unscrew union nut on front brake line -5- .
- 2.4 Pull front brake line -1- out of front brake calliper -6- .
- 2.5 Collect emerging brake fluid using suitable aids and close off connections using suitable stoppers.

If there is a burr on the outside of the brake discs, press the brake pads back using a suitable tool.
Information
Never use power tools (impact bolter) for loosening and securing the brake calliper on the wheel bearing housing.
