Installing Front Brake CALLIPER
WARNING:
Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid!
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
→ Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles
→ In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
→ In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off
WARNING:
Old mounting parts fitted on the brake calliper
- Reduced braking effect
- Risk of damage to the brake calliper
→ Fit new pad retaining springs
Information
Never use power tools (impact bolter) for loosening and securing the brake calliper on the wheel bearing housing.
- Install front brake calliper -1-
.
- 1.1 Position front brake calliper -1- .
- 1.2
Screw in and tighten new screws -2-
.
> Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
> Torque angle 90 °
Front brake calliper
- Secure front brake line -1-
.
- 2.1 Position front brake line -1- on front brake calliper -6- .
- 2.2
Screw in and tighten union nut on front brake line -5-
.
> Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)
- 2.3 Engage front brake line -1- in holder -4- and clip in spring clamp -3- .
- 2.4
Screw in and tighten screw -2-
.
> Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
Front brake line
- Secure electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-
.
- 3.1 Clip electric line for brake pad wear indicator -1- into holder -2- .
- 3.2 Connect and lock electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1- .
