Removing Front Disc Brake Pads

Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
Information
If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.
Information
Do not damage the dust boots of the brake pistons, replace them if damaged.

> T10145 - Piston resetting appliance
must be inserted at a center position between the disc brake pads -2-

Press brake pistons -1- back slowly and evenly.
- 1.2 > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance must now be removed.

must be inserted at a center position between the disc brake pads -2-

- Remove front disc brake pads -1-
.
- 2.1 Insert a suitable tool between the front disc brake pads -1- and brake calliper -2- . Carefully loosen the front disc brake pads -1- from the brake calliper -2- by turning the tool slightly.
- 2.2 Remove front disc brake pads -1- from the pad retaining pins -3- .

- Remove pad retaining clips -1-
from the brake calliper -2-

Replace pad retaining clips.

- Clean contact surfaces of the front disc brake pads in the brake calliper.
