Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
Information
A little brake fluid may have to be extracted from the reservoir to prevent it from overflowing when the PCCB brake pads are pressed back.
Information
Do not damage the dust boots of the brake pistons, replace them if damaged.
- Press back brake pistons -1-

- 1.1 > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance must be inserted at a center position between the PCCB brake pads -2- . Press brake pistons -1- back slowly and evenly.
- 1.2 > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance must now be removed.

- Remove front PCCB brake pads -1-
.
- 2.1 Insert a suitable tool between the front PCCB brake pads -1- and brake calliper -2- . Carefully loosen front PCCB brake pads -1- from the brake calliper -2- by turning the tool slightly.
- 2.2 Remove front PCCB brake pads -1- from pad retaining pins -3- .

- Remove pad retaining clips -1-
from the brake calliper -2-

Replace pad retaining clips -1- .

- Clean contact surfaces of the front PCCB brake pads in the brake calliper.
