Removing Power-Steering Gear

Information 

The power-steering gear bellows must not be kinked or damaged during removal and installation.

Make sure that the steering gear pinion is not fitted twisted.

1. Release and disconnect cable plug -1 and 2-  .

2. Loosen universal joint for steering column -1-  .
   1. 2.1  Unscrew screw -2-  .
   2. 2.2  Pull universal joint for steering column -1-  off the power-steering gear -3-  .

3. Remove power-steering gear -1-  .
   1. 3.1  Unscrew nut -2-  and counter at screw -3-  at the same time.
   2. 3.2  Remove screw -3-  .
   3. 3.3  Unscrew screws -4-  .
   4. 3.4  Guide power-steering gear -1-  out of the mountings and remove it.
