- Unclip dust boot -1-
from upper part of steering column casing -2-
and push it in -direction of arrow-

On vehicles with driver monitoring (I-no. GJ2), the electric plug connections -1 and 2- must also be released and disconnected.

- Remove upper part of steering column casing -1-
.
- 2.1 Turn the steering wheel so that the openings -2- are accessible.
- 2.2 Unclip upper part of steering column casing -1- through the openings -2- using a suitable screwdriver.
- 2.3 Guide out upper part of steering column casing -1- .

- Detach lower part of steering column casing -1-
.
- 3.1 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 3.2 Turn the steering wheel so that the screws -3- are accessible.
- 3.3 Unscrew and remove screws -3- .
- 3.4 Fold lower part of steering column casing -1- downwards.

- Unclip wiring harness -1-
and remove lower part of steering column casing -2-
