Disassembling Steering Wheel

  1. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove cover -2-  .

  2. Release control unit -1-  and pull it forward slightly.

  3. Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  for the rocker switches.

  4. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove rocker switches -2-  .

  5. Unclip rear trims using a suitable tool -arrows-  .

  6. Only for vehicles with heated steering wheel: 

    Disconnect electric plug connection -1-  from rear trim -2-  .

  7. Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .

  8. Unclip main cover -1-  .

  9. Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  and remove main trim -2-  .

  10. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove multi-functional switch -2-  and front trim -3-  .

    Only for vehicles with Mode switch: 

  11. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  and remove Mode switch -2-  from the steering wheel.

  12. Disconnect ground contacts -1-  .

  13. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove contact bridge -2-  .

  14. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  from the control unit -3-  .

  15. Release wire harness -1-  from the steering wheel skeleton -2-  (-arrows-  ) and remove it.
