Installing Exhaust Temperature Sensor

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

1. Fit exhaust temperature sensor -1-  and tighten using > VAS 261 015 - Flared ring socket insert, a/f 14-2-  and 3/8-inch tool.

   > Tightening torque 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

2. Install cover section -3-  .
   1. 2.1 Position cover section -3-  .
   2. 2.2 Fit and tighten nut -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   3. 2.3 Secure snap fastener -1-  .

3. Secure exhaust temperature sensor cable.
   1. 3.1 Plug in cable plug -3-  .
   2. 3.2 Clip exhaust temperature sensor -4-  into the bracket.
   3. 3.3 Secure clips -1 and 2-  .
