Removing Padding For Front Backrest

Information 

The steps required for removal are shown on the left-hand side. The steps required for removal are identical on both sides.

Information 

Do not remove or loosen the suction fan.

1. Disengage cover for front backrest -1-  from the backrest frame -2-  in the headrest area.

2. Loosen cover for front backrest -1-  between the backrest and front seat.

3. Only for vehicles with seat heating (I-no. 4A3 or 4A4): 

   Release and disconnect electric plug connection for backrest heating.

4. Push lower cushion through in a forward direction.
5. Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D0, 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7 or 4D9): 

   Disconnect and remove hoses.

   1. 5.1 Disconnect connections -3-  .
   2. 5.2 Remove tie-wrap.

6. Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D0, 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7 or 4D9): 

   Disengage control valve for air cushion -4-  by pulling it upwards.

7. Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D0, 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7 or 4D9): 

   Disconnect connections -5-  from control valve for air cushion -4-  .

8. Only for vehicles with front 14-way comfort seats (I-no. Q2J) or front 18-way sports seats (I-no. Q1J): 

   Disengage hoses -6-  from the holder -7-  and guide them out.

   1. 8.1 Guide blue hoses out to the rear.
   2. 8.2 Guide transparent hoses out to the front.

9. Only for vehicles with seat ventilation (I-no. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 4D5, 4D6 or 4D9): 

   Disengage air duct on suction fan for backrest from the inner spring.

10. Remove padding for front backrest with seat cover.
