Information
- The vehicle, components and adhesives must be brought to processing temperature (acclimatized) before starting work. The processing temperature must be maintained for 30 minutes before starting to work on the bonding surfaces.
- Bonding surfaces must be free of oil, dirt, moisture and paint and oxide coatings.
- Do not touch the cleaned surfaces in order to avoid transferring sweat from your hands or dirt to the bonding surfaces.
- Silicone and Teflon sprays cannot be used anywhere in the workshop area.
Information
- Process the adhesive within the processing time. The adhesive must be applied and the window or body part must be joined within this time period. Any joining procedures (e.g. riveting, screwing) to be carried out in the bonding area must also be performed within this time period.
- Do not load bonded parts until hardening is complete!
Information
During cold periods, overnight or in cold countries, appropriate steps must be taken to ensure that the minimum hardening temperature is reached.
- Optimize heating system settings, e.g. deactivate night-time lowering of temperature.
- Keep doors and windows closed; avoid droughts.
- Install auxiliary heaters in the body repair area.
