Installing Rear Brake Disc

Information
Do not confuse left and right brake discs during installation!
Distinguishing feature: Part number! The flat surface of the brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left!
- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check thickness of rear disc brake pads.
- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check rear brake discs (wear assessment).
- Clean the levelling and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
- Apply a very thin coat of Optimally TA to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
- Further installation is performed in reverse order.
- Screw in and tighten brake disc screws > Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)
- Reset disc brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
- Screw in and tighten brake calliper screws.
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening torque angle + 70°
- Cancel brake pad change mode using > 9900 - PI WIS Tester 3

- 9.1 Select → 'Brake electronics (PSM, incl. parking brake)' in the 'Control unit overview' and press F12 to confirm your selection.
- 9.2 Select → 'Cancel brake pad change mode' under 'Drive links/checks' and start the procedure.
