Removing Brake Pedal

Tool on brake booster push rod (shown as an example)

1. Loosen the push rod on the brake booster of the brake pedal.
   1. 1.1 Place > 9897 - unlocking tool  on the push rod (upstream of bellows) of the brake booster from below -1a-  .

      The push rod must be inserted in the fork on the tool.

   2. 1.2 Push the fork of > 9897 - unlocking tool-2-  as far as possible into lock -3-  from the rear (guide along the push rod) -Arrow-  and support with your hand (important!) > Positioning tool on push rod  .
   3. 1.3 The pressure -Arrow-  causes the fork -2-  on the > 9897 - unlocking tool  to spread the retaining lugs -3-  on the lock apart.

   4. 1.4 Pull the lever on the tool or the brake pedal towards the passenger compartment while continuing to support the tool on the lock.
2. Remove pedal shaft -1-  .
   1. 2.1 Remove retaining clip -2-  on the pedal shaft -1-  .
   2. 2.2 Pull out pedal shaft -1-  in direction of -Arrow-  .

3. Remove the brake pedal by pulling it downwards.
