Install rear cardan shaft.

Positioning air spring bellows in trailing arm

Information
- The air spring bellows may only be filled if it was already positioned correctly in the trailing arm (to do this, lift lower trailing arm using lifting equipment) Positioning air spring bellows in trailing arm.
- Align air spring bellows with groove -2- at the lug -3- of the trailing arm.
Install coil spring or inflate air spring.
> Refer to the appropriate Service Information for Removing and installing coil spring

Install brake calliper on both sides of the vehicle.

If the rear axle housing was replaced: Tighten axle nut -1- on both sides of the vehicle. Operate the brake while doing this (2nd mechanic required) > Tightening torque 460 Nm (340 ftlb.)

Applies only to vehicles with PDCC: Start the 48 V vehicle electrical system.

Only for PHEV vehicles: Fill in coolant and bleed the cooling system.

Perform suspension alignment.
