Installing Rear Axle Housing

1. 1.1 Position elevating platform > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform  with > VAS 6832/7 - assembly fixture - Panamera G2  under the vehicle and raise it carefully.
2. 1.2 Before the rear axle housing is in installation position, connect and lock electric plug connection for PASM -1-  on the shock absorber -2-  at both sides of the vehicle.

3. 1.3 Align rear axle housing according to the markings applied before removal. Marking (example)

4. 1.4 Screw in and tighten fastening screws -1-  on the rear axle housing > Initial tightening 130 Nm (95.9 ftlb.)  > Final tightening torque angle + 180°

5. 1.5 Lower > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform  .

1. 9.1 Connect coolant hoses and close clamps using > VAS 6889 - spring band clamp pliers-5-  .
2. 9.2 Secure brackets -4-  .
3. 9.3 Connect and lock electric connectors -3-  .

1. 11.1 Route electric line -1-  in the guides on the air spring bellows.
2. 11.2 Align air spring bellows with groove -2-  at the lug -3-  of the trailing arm.

1. 12.1 Connect and lock electric connector -2-  .
2. 12.2 Tighten Voss threaded joint for the air line -3-  > Tightening torque 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.) 

1. 13.1 Connect and lock electric plug connection -1-  on servo motor for rear-differential lock -2-  and secure line to the brackets -3-  .

2. 13.2 Install protective plate for drive shaft at the left -1-  .

2. 15.2 Screw in and tighten fastening screw on the rear axle housing -2-  .
3. 15.3 Screw in and tighten fastening screw for ground line -3-  .
4. 15.4 Secure PDCC wire harness to the brackets -4-  .

   Information 

   Before connecting the 48 V connectors, check whether the sealing ring -1-  is positioned under the locking lugs -2-  in the connectors.

   Carefully press the sealing ring back over the locking lugs if necessary.

5. 15.5 Connect and lock electric plug connections on the PDCC control unit in the sequence -1 to 5-  .
