Lifting The Vehicle

WARNING:
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
→ Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.
CAUTION:
Driving off while the vehicle is on the lifting platform
- Risk of squashing
- Risk of damage to components
→ Raise the vehicle until the wheels cannot touch the ground.

- Drive vehicle onto the lifting platform. Pay particular attention to the following:
- When driving onto a lifting platform, ensure that there is sufficient distance between the lifting platform and the vehicle.
- If work has to be done in the front footwell, the vehicle should be positioned in such a way that the doors can be opened far enough.
- Only relevant for vehicles air suspension:
Switch to Normal Level and deactivate the levelling system.
- 2.1 Switch on the ignition.
- 2.2 Switch to Normal Level. Select DRIVE > Air suspension level > Middle in the PCM.
- 2.3 Deactivating the levelling system: Select CAR > CONTROL > Vehicle > Chassis > Jack mode
in the PCM.
Information
- If the vehicle is to be raised at the inner jacking points, the strut on the rear axle must be removed beforehand.
Information
Align support plates of the lifting platform so that they are centred and at the same height under the specified jacking points on the vehicle.
- Make sure that the respective underbody covers can be removed and installed.
- Raise the vehicle at the four outer jacking points -1-. For repairs in the side member area, the four inner jacking points -2- can be used.
