Installing Chain Housing Cover

Information
Fitting and sealing components using liquid sealant.
- Clean sealing faces to remove all traces of residual sealant.
- Sealing faces must be free of grease and oil.
- Clean sealing faces with primer Loctite 7515.
- Use liquid sealant Loctite 5970-BM.
- Apply liquid sealant Loctite 5970-BM -1-
on the chain housing cover.
- 1.1 Install the chain housing cover within five minutes of applying the liquid sealant.

Applying sealant on right chain housing cover
- Install chain housing cover -1-
.
- 2.1 Fit chain housing cover -1-
on cylinder head.
- 2.2 Fit and tighten screws -2-
uniformly.
> Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

- Only for cylinder bank 1:
- 3.1 Fit additional coolant pump holder -1-
.
- 3.1.1 Fit and tighten double-screws -3-
.
> Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
- 3.1.2 Fit and tighten nut -2-
.
> Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
