Installing Strut

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Installation is performed in reverse order. Observe specified tightening torques:

1.1 Secure the strut -1- .

A-strut to cowl panel -2- : >Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)

A-strut to cross panel -3- : >Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

Spring strut with A-strut to body -4- : >Initial tightening 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 45°

A-strut to body -5- : >Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) > Final tightening 90°

1.2 Upper part of plenum panel at the side to spring strut mount: >Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) +/- 15 %

Side plenum panel to spring strut mount

1.3 Screw securing upper part of plenum panel at the centre to A-strut -1- : >Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) +/- 15 %

Upper part of plenum panel at the side to centre plenum panel -2- : >Tightening torque 4 Nm (3 ftlb.) +/- 15 %
