Preliminary Work

Remove the engine.
> 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE
Secure engine on assembly support.
> WM, 100113 SECURING ENGINE ON ASSEMBLY SUPPORT (V8 BITURBO)
Drain engine oil.
> 170117 DRAINING AND FILLING IN ENGINE OIL
Remove belt tensioner (air-conditioning compressor).
> WM, 137319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BELT TENSIONER (AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR) (V8 BITURBO)
Remove guide tube for oil dipstick -1- .
1. 5.1 Unscrew and remove screw -2- .
2. 5.2 Pull guide tube for oil dipstick -1- up -arrow- and remove it.

Remove oil pressure control valve.
> Refer to the appropriate Service Information for Removing and installing oil pressure control valve
Remove crankshaft vibration damper.
> 137519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKSHAFT VIBRATION DAMPER (V8 BITURBO)
Remove crankshaft sealing ring.
> 137419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKSHAFT SEALING RING
